April Campaign Update

April 5, 2012
Salmon for Congress

Friends,

Another month has come to an end and I wanted to send you an update on the exciting things taking place on the campaign trail. As the weather started to warm up in March, so did our campaign as we added many more volunteers, spoke to more voters and attended more events than any previous month on the campaign.

In March, we released our first online video, titled "Proven Leadership". Now more ever, we need proven leaders in Congress who will take on the "go along, get along" politicians and stand up for conservative principles. I'm the only candidate in this race who has a record of doing this, and I am looking forward to going back to Washington and doing it again. Press play below to watch "Proven Leadership".

With the help of my wife Nancy, we announced our women's coalition in March at a luncheon with over a hundred supporters in attendance. I'm honored that so many extraordinary women leaders, like former Secretary of Transportation Mary E. Peters, former state legislators Lori Daniels, Tricia Groe and Laura Knaperek, nine current women state legislators, and dozens of more women are backing my campaign to return to Congress. Click Here to join them in endorsing my campaign to return to Congress!

Also in March, I took a trip to New Mexico to tour the oil and gas fields with my good friend Congressman Steve Pearce. It was an eye-opening experience, not only to see the number of jobs created by domestic energy exploration, but to also hear firsthand how over-regulation is strangling the oil and gas industry, keeping our gas prices high and our nation unable to secure energy independence. In Congress, I'll lead the fight to cut the burdensome regulation restricting the oil and gas industry and push for a true all-of-the-above energy policy to ensure we never rely on other nations to power our country. Click Here for pictures of my tour to the oil and gas fields.

As we look forward to April, it is already shaping up to be a month packed full of meet and greets, events and other campaign activities.

This Saturday, April 7th will be our monthly Super Saturday precinct walk. We'll be walking precincts in Chandler and Gilbert. On Saturday, April 14th, Congressman David Schweikert will join me at the grand opening of our campaign office in Mesa. To join us at both of these events, please email Greg at greg.safsten@gmail.com or call 480-779-0872.

Nancy and I continued to be humbled by the outpouring of support and prayers from friends like you. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail in April!

Sincerely,

Why do you support Matt for Congress?
Matt is the only true conservative in this race with the experience of having balanced the budget in half a century. It's time we send him back.
