Speaker Tobin joins 29 other state legislators in supporting Salmon

EAST VALLEY - Matt Salmon, former Congressman and now Republican candidate in Arizona's 5th congressional district, has been given the official endorsement of Arizona Speaker of the House Andy Tobin. In addition to Speaker Tobin's support, former Congressman Salmon has now received the endorsements of sixteen (16) Arizona state representatives and fourteen (14) Arizona state senators.

Speaker Tobin stated, "In light of the domestic and foreign challenges facing our nation, former Congressman Matt Salmon is undoubtedly the best candidate to represent the East Valley in Congress. He will take his indispensable experience, leadership and principles to Washington and will immediately begin fighting for the interests of Arizona's citizens. I am looking forward to working with him and all of Arizona's next congressional delegation."

Matt Salmon was first elected to the United States Congress in 1994 and served until 2000, honoring his term limit pledge. Salmon was rated in the top five among all 535 members of the House and Senate by Citizen's Against Government Waste for all six years he was in office. He is a lifetime member of the NRA with an A+ rating and also earned a 100% rating by the National Right to Life. He was also the proud recipient of the American Cancer Society's "Top National Elected Official" award.
