Salmon for Congress
Economic Development Group Becomes Latest Business Organization to Back Salmon
EAST VALLEY - Matt Salmon, former Congressman and candidate for Arizona's 5th congressional district, today received the endorsement from Valley Partnership, the Valley of the Sun's premier advocacy group for responsible development. Valley Partnership's Federal Affairs Committee recommended Salmon's endorsement based on his questionnaire responses that focused on taxes, economic growth, banking regulation and over-regulation by federal agencies on development and energy issues. The Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Salmon, the first time in their 25 year history that the organization endorsed in a primary election.
Valley Partnership joins the Mesa and Chandler Chambers of Commerce, the Small Business Alliance, the Associated General Contractors, the National Association of REALTORS and other business organizations in endorsing Salmon for Congress.
"The candidates that Valley Partnership endorses support out mission, economic development and job growth in the Valley and all of Arizona," Richard Hubbard, Valley Partnership CEO and President said. "We believe the policies and legislation they support will continue the positive activity that is occurring in the Valley's commercial real estate industry."
"It's an honor to receive yet another endorsement from an Arizona business organization," stated former Congressman Salmon. "I am humbled that so many of these groups trust my record of fighting for responsible economic development and have confidence in my ability to hit the ground running and begin advancing pro-growth policies and legislation. I've led this charge before and I am eager to return to Congress and do it again."
